1. Publisher of this website

This website is published by:

Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 10:30 – 18:30. Sunday closed. Fittings outside these hours by arrangement.

2. What this website is, and what it is not

This website presents the work of the house, the fabrics we offer and the services of the atelier. It exists so that you can find us and make an appointment.

No sales are concluded on this website. There is no basket, no online payment and no distance selling. Every garment is commissioned in person at Avenue Louise, after measurement. Prices shown are indicative starting prices, expressed in euro and inclusive of VAT; they are not an offer within the meaning of Article 5.22 of the Belgian Civil Code, and a binding quotation is issued only at the consultation, in writing.

3. Made-to-order goods and the right of withdrawal

Because garments are made to your measurements and to your specification, they are goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised within the meaning of Article VI.53, 3° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law.

The statutory fourteen-day right of withdrawal therefore does not apply to a bespoke or made-to-measure commission once cutting has begun. This does not affect your rights in the event of a defect, nor the legal guarantee of conformity. Our own alteration guarantee, described at the consultation, applies in addition to your legal rights.

4. Prices, quotations and payment

Prices are quoted in euro, inclusive of Belgian VAT at the applicable rate. Fabric price, construction and lead time are confirmed in the written quotation, which is valid for thirty days.

A deposit confirms the order; the balance falls due on delivery. Payment is made in the boutique or by transfer to IBAN BE36 0017 8210 1881 (BEGENTLEMEN SRL). Late payment by a professional client bears interest and indemnity at the rates set by the Act of 2 August 2002 on late payment in commercial transactions.

5. Intellectual property

The name BEGENTLEMEN, the logo, the site's structure, texts, photographs, films and graphic elements are protected by copyright and, where applicable, trade mark law. They belong to BEGENTLEMEN SRL or are used under licence.

No reproduction, adaptation or public communication is permitted without our prior written consent, except as allowed by law. Fabric names and mill trade marks — including those of the weavers we work with — remain the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification only.

6. Photographs of clients

We photograph garments and, with your written permission, clients wearing them. That permission is separate from your order, is never a condition of it, and may be withdrawn at any time by writing to info@begentlemen.be. On withdrawal we remove the images from the website and our social channels; material already printed cannot be recalled.

7. Liability

We take care that the information on this site is accurate and current, but we give no warranty that it is complete or free of error. Fabric availability, mill ranges, lead times and indicative prices change, and photographs cannot render colour and texture exactly. Nothing on this site creates an obligation on us until confirmed in a written quotation.

BEGENTLEMEN SRL is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website, nor for the temporary unavailability of the site. We are not responsible for the content of third-party websites to which we link.

8. Hyperlinks

Links to this site are welcome, provided they do not present our work misleadingly and do not frame our pages within another site. We reserve the right to ask that a link be removed.

9. Personal data and cookies

The processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Cookies are described in our Cookie Policy, and your choices can be changed at any time via cookie settings.

10. Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA: keyboard navigation, visible focus, sufficient contrast, labelled form fields and text alternatives for images. If any part of this site is difficult for you to use, write to info@begentlemen.be and we will help you directly and correct the problem.

11. Complaints and dispute resolution

Please raise any complaint with us first, at info@begentlemen.be or +32 2 648 74 78. We acknowledge complaints within five working days.

If we cannot resolve the matter, a consumer may approach the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (Service de Médiation pour le Consommateur, Boulevard du Roi Albert II 8, 1000 Brussels — consumerombudsman.be) or use the European ODR platform. Recourse to mediation is voluntary and does not affect your right to go to court.

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These notices and any contract concluded with BEGENTLEMEN SRL are governed by Belgian law. The courts of Brussels have jurisdiction, without prejudice to a consumer's right to bring proceedings before the court of their own place of residence within the European Union.

13. Languages

The website is presented in English, French, Dutch, German and Italian. These legal notices are at present issued in English only, and the English text is the binding version. A French or Dutch copy is provided free of charge on request to info@begentlemen.be, and nothing in these notices limits your right to correspond with us in French or Dutch.
