1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file placed on your device by a website. Similar techniques — local storage, pixels, SDKs — have the same effect and are covered by this policy wherever the word "cookie" appears.
This policy is issued by BEGENTLEMEN SRL, Avenue Louise 201, 1050 Brussels, enterprise number 0649.923.061, VAT BE 0649.923.061. It applies to begentlemen.be and its subdomains.
2. Our position on consent
Under Article 129 of the Belgian Electronic Communications Act and Article 6 GDPR, we place no cookie other than the strictly necessary ones until you have given free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent.
In practice: nothing is loaded before you choose. Refusing is one click, in the same place and with the same prominence as accepting. Closing the banner is not consent, and neither is scrolling. Your choice is stored for six months, after which we ask again. You can change or withdraw it at any moment via cookie settings, and withdrawing is as easy as consenting.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These make the site work and are exempt from consent. You cannot switch them off.
4. Preference cookies
Set only with your consent. They make the site more convenient but are not required.
5. Statistics cookies
Set only with your consent. They tell us which pages are read and where visitors leave.
Where we use Google Analytics, IP addresses are anonymised, Google Signals and advertising features are switched off, and data retention is set to fourteen months. Google may process data in the United States; see section 8.
6. Marketing cookies
Set only with your consent. They measure the effect of our campaigns and allow us to reach a comparable audience on third-party platforms.
7. Embedded third-party content
Some pages embed content served by others. Loading it lets that provider see your IP address, and it may set its own cookies. We load these only after you consent to the relevant category.
8. Transfers outside the EEA
Google and Meta are established in Ireland and may transfer data to the United States. Those transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision and, where it does not apply, on Standard Contractual Clauses with supplementary measures. Refusing statistics and marketing cookies prevents these transfers taking place through this website.
9. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop the appointment form working.

10. Your rights and complaints

11. Updates
We review this policy whenever we add or remove a service, and at least once a year. The version date appears above. Where a change extends the processing, we ask for your consent again. This policy is issued in English; a French or Dutch copy is provided on request to info@begentlemen.be.
